I introduce a Japanese toy, Kendama.
This is a Japanese traditional toy.
It is made of wood and thread.
When we play this, we grasp the stick and throw the ball into the top of stick.
We also play to throw the ball on the side of the stick.
I think it is a bit more difficult to throw the ball into the top.
Kenadama is the traditional toy, so at th epresent days, children don’t play it so often.
However we have contests.
In the contest, we compete a lot of skills.
If you want to know more about this, please click below.

Hi Tomoko,
I really love the Japanese kendama – it’s a fantastic “toy” (not really a toy in my opinion). Did you watch me doing it when we visited England? I can do several of the tricks. I also like juggling, but I think that the kendama is the best. Thank you for the link to the Japan Kendama Association homepage – I want to get my kendama licence.
See you,
Nigel

Hi again Tomoko,
Thank you very much for spending time with the British children today. I appreciate your help. Everyone was very shy but I hope that you all had a good time. BTW we are now in an Internet cafe near to Canal City!!
See you later,
Nigel

Hi NIgel,
Thank you for your comment.
I know you are goog at playing Kendama.
I think(am sure) you can get a Kendama licence.
Thank you for giving the chance to meet the British students.
It is very valuable for me to have this chance.
I enjoyed walking around and talking with you.
I had a good time.
However I’m sorry that I couldn’t communicate with the British students well.
I had to be aggresive more.
I’ll try to be active more!!
Tomoko

Hi, Tomoko!
Playing Kendama is interesting for me.
I used to play it when I was a elementary student.
Are you good at Kendama?

Hi, Tomoko!
It seems that Kendama is interesting!
But I have played it before.
At that time, I couldn’t play well and I was bored.
Have you ever played Kendama, Tomoko?
See you,
Ayumi
